Glens goalkeeper Aaron McCarey was booked after jumping into the stand to try and calm the situation.The PSNI said: "Police received a report of an assault of security staff at a football match in the Shore Road area on Saturday, 28th October. "Enquiries are ongoing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident to contact 101 quoting reference number .
Reflecting on the incident after the game, Glentoran goalkeeper McCarey told the Belfast Telegraph: “I just thought the situation was getting agitated.
