The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office has released more information about the bomb threat that caused evacuations of multiple streets and cancelled the "Drag Queen Story Time" event on March 23.
According to the DA, the threat was sent in an email around noon on Saturday, and the email threatened detonation at 1:30 p.m. The threats targeted the Lancaster Public Library, Lancaster Online | LNP and specific individuals from those organizations and Lancaster Pride.The threat prompted evacuations in the 100 block of N. Lime Street and N Queen Street and ultimately resulted in the cancellation of the Drag Queen Story Hour event scheduled to be held at the Lancaster Public Library.
Earlier in the day, police did a preplanned sweep of the library when K9s alerted officers to a an unattended package. The Pennsylvania State Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal responded, but ultimately found that package contained coloring books.Police, in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are continuing to investigate.
