The first home of late rock n roll legend Michael Hutchence has hit the market, but it looks dramatically different from when the late INXS superstar lived there. 👇

“To have my first born child, and a boy at that, joining Patricia and I at the old family home meant a lot to me,” Kell wrote.

The frontman and co-founder of the rock band died in 1997 aged 37. INXS sold more than 75 million records worldwide. “The cottage was in original condition although the kitchen had been renewed and floorboards had been laid…what drew us was the flat block and the potential,” said owner Michelle Vanzella. It boasts open-plan living areas leading to the level, family-friendly lawn.

The five-bedroom house at 24 Howell Ave, Lane Cove is now a contemporary two-storey home with indoor/outdoor resort-style living on a north-facing 638sqm block. Inside there are double-height ceilings, informal family rooms, a gas kitchen with two ovens and a full home office. The lawn is level and there is a double garage, zoned ducted air conditioning and surround sound.Interestingly Michelle remembers seeing the rock band in the early 1990s at Sydney University Refectory.
