The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced that it needs to find a new international boxing body by early next year to ensure that boxing remains in the Olympics for the Los Angeles Games in 2028.

The International Olympic Committee ( IOC ) has announced that it needs to find a new international boxing body by early next year to ensure that boxing remains in the Olympics for the Los Angeles Games in 2028. The IOC had previously removed the International Boxing Association ( IBA ) from running the Olympic boxing tournaments in Tokyo 2021 and Paris this year due to concerns about governance and the integrity of refereeing and judging.

The IOC also accused the IBA's president, Umar Kremlev, of using violent and threatening language towards IOC personnel
