iPhone users warned to make major update next month as device could stop working

IPhone users should be prepared to update their device to the latest iOS software, as failing to do so could stop them from being able to use their devices

iPhone models that will be primarily affected range from the iPhone 5 and lower but even the iPhone 7 could see the change if software isn't updated. The change was reported by Twitter user @StellaFudge, who said users will be notified before it comes into affect. Just head to the iPhone's Home Screen then tap the Settings app icon, and go to General > Software Update .Follow the instructions on-screen to update your iPhone—just make sure you've plugged in your charger and connected to Wi-Fi.
