A Chris Wood penalty gave Nottingham Forest an important single goal victory over Ipswich Town
Ipswich Town defender Cameron Burgess said Jota Silva ‘squealed’ to earn Nottingham Forest the decisive penalty in today’s Premier League match at the City Ground .
Other than that it wasn’t the most scintillating of games but it did set Forest back on winning ways – even if it was slightly disputed. "Szmods didn't think he'd got him. I haven't seen it. He went down in a heap and made a loud noise and a squeal, they sometimes get given because of that,” Burgess told the BBC.
However, Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna was less critical of the decision: "I think it was a pretty even game. It wasn't the most high-quality game of the season. First half was really even. it really felt like a first-goal game. We would have been in a great position but it was them that got it. We're disappointed, it's a poor penalty to give away from our perspective.
