Ireland has dropped captain Peter O’Mahony and ruled out center Bundee Aki from the lineup to face South Africa in the second test on Saturday in Durban. Following the 27-20 loss in Pretoria in the first test, Ireland made four changes on Thursday, two of them enforced by tour-ending injuries to hooker Dan Sheehan and scrumhalf Craig Casey.

Following the 27-20 loss in Pretoria in the first test, Ireland made four changes, two of them enforced by tour-ending injuries to hooker Dan Sheehan and scrumhalf Craig Casey.Tadhg Beirne has moved from lock to the blindside flank vacated by O’Mahony, and James Ryan moves into the second row. Beirne hasn’t started on the flank since September but the Irish appear to be trying to bulk up the pack.

As expected, Ronan Kelleher fills in for the injured Sheehan in the front row, and Casey has been replaced by the veteran Conor Murray, retaining a Munster halves pairing with flyhalf Jack Crowley. Aki suffered a shoulder injury in the first test and has been replaced by Garry Ringrose, Ireland’s starting center at the Rugby World Cup who has been limited to three matches since the Six Nations.New Zealand, England each make one lineup change for 2nd rugby test at Auckland’s Eden ParkSouth Africa: Willie le Roux, Cheslin Kolbe, Jesse Kriel, Damian de Allende, Kurt-Lee Arendse, Handré Pollard.
