Rory McIlroy leads the home charge as he tees off early on Friday morning
Rory McIlroy will be hoping to make early inroads into Todd Clements' lead at the Irish Open as he gets his second round underway at the Irish Open .
The Northern Irish golfer finished his first round strongly on Thursday evening. Three birdies in the last three holes left McIlroy on -3 after the first day's play at Royal County Down. Playing alongside McIlroy on the opening day was fellow Northern Irish golfer Tom McKibbin. He carded a 74 on Thursday to finish on +3. The two will play in the same group on Friday.
