Iron Man lifts a car in his new patchwork armor.
After having his entire fortune and company seized through a corporate takeover, Iron Man is back on the path to reclaim Stark Unlimited and his reputation. However, Tony Stark’s company is once again up for grabs, with Roxxon and A.I.M. being the highest bidders. Now, a new preview of Iron Man's upcoming series is giving readers a glimpse of Iron Man’s new suit and his mission to reclaim his company for good.
However, Tony isn’t in control anymore and will have to do everything in his power to put down his corporate enemies once and for all. Building himself back up with the scraps of his lost glory, a new angrier Iron Man is back on the scene and is ready to unleash the same furious ingenuity that birthed the first Iron Man armor. Tony Stark has spent years developing and refining his armor technology. What started as a patchwork of metal and basic propulsion rockets, the Iron Man armor has exceeded its original design by employing near-indestructible nanotechnology and a self-sustained energy source.
As seen in the first issue’s official cover art by Yasmine Putri, and the newly released variant cover by Philip Tan, the new Iron Man armor is a clunky patchwork of metal plating, leather straps, and loosely exposed wiring. Reminiscent of the steampunk aesthetic, the armor is something Stark has had to piece together from the scraps of his past suits.
