Hezbollah says it has attacked Israel with a large number of drones and rockets, in response to the killing of a top commander last month but Israel 'pre-emptively' launched airstrikes inside Lebanon

As we've reported, Israel's large-scale strikes in Lebanon this morning killed three people across the south of the country, injuring at least two others.

Addressing reporters earlier, Israeli military spokesman Nadav Shoshani described Hezbollah's action as 'a partial execution of the large-scale attack they were planning', adding that Israel had used a 'series of real-time self-defence strikes' to minimise the impact.
