Israeli air strikes hit near several hospitals in Gaza City early Friday morning as the military pushed deeper into dense urban neighborhoods in its battle with Hamas militants.
The head of the Al Nasr Hospital told ABC News the facility is encircled and 60-70 patients in the ICU may die if they are not allowed to evacuate.
Antony Blinken, U.S. Secretary of State says:"Much more needs to be done to protect civilians and to make sure that humanitarian assistance reaches them. Far too many Palestinians have been killed." The U.S. is involved in high level talks to free the hostages taken by Hamas. CIA Director Bill Burns met with Israeli and Qatari officials in an attempt to strike a deal.
