Israeli forces successfully neutralized a Hamas terror cell in a Gaza hospital, where the terrorists were using patients as human shields. The IDF encountered gunfire from Hamas fighters who had embedded themselves among civilians at the entrance of Al Quds hospital. The IDF has also surrounded Al Shifa hospital, suspecting that Hamas militants are hiding in tunnels underneath. Due to a shortage of fuel, babies in the intensive care unit at Al Shifa have been moved to a single bed. Israel claims that as civilians fled the building, Hamas militants disguised themselves among them to attack Israeli forces.

The IDF today said troops were fired at by Hamas fighters from the entrance of Al Quds hospital as they "embedded" themselves among civilians. IDF troops and tanks have surrounded Gaza 's main hospital Al Shifa where they believe Hamas terrorists are hiding underneath in tunnels.
Babies in the intensive care unit at Al Shifa have been transferred from incubators to a single bed after the hospital ran out of fuel. An IDF statement read: "RPG fire and small arms fire were directed at the soldiers from the direction of the al Quds Hospital in Gaza City. The shooting was carried out by a terrorist squad that had embedded itself within a group of civilians at the entrance of the hospital.
