The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board on Saturday, March 4, directed its regional directors to issue special permits to public utility vehicles so that they could ply in routes affected by the impending transport strike to ensure that no commuter will be stranded.
According to the memorandum circular, the LTFRB may issue a special permit in advance of any situation that may jeopardize the safety and comfort of the general public, particularly passengers. “Naglabas ng board resolution ang ahensya for the issuance of special permit doon sa mga area na medyo maaapektuhan ng tigil-pasada sa Lunes, March 6 ,” he said in a statement.“In fact, mayroon na kaming mga inter-agency meeting na isinagawa noong nakalipas na dalawang araw ,” he continued.
