Baby Reindeer's Richard Gadd will face a public vote alongside Gatwa for Dr Who, Jack Bowden for Slow Horses, Ashley Storrie for Dinosaur, Abby Cook for Blue Peter and David Tennant, also for Dr Who.

Baby Reindeer creator Richard Gadd will face off with Ncuti Gatwa for the nation’s favourite Scot at this year’s BAFTA Scotland awards.

The six nominees were selected by an independent jury comprised of Scottish media and culture experts, and recognises the key Scottish talent who have made an impact with audiences in the past year. Jude MacLaverty, Director of BAFTA Scotland, said: “The six nominees announced today have captured our nation's attention creating 'watercooler' moments through their work and performances on our TV screens.

His latest recognition comes just days after a US judge decided that his alleged stalker, Fiona Harvey, who inspired his Baby Reindeer series, could go ahead with a multi-million dollar lawsuit in a US court.The BAFTA Scotland Awards 2024 will take place on Sunday, November 17 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central.

The ceremony will be live streamed on YouTube, with an edited highlights programme broadcast on BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer on Wednesday, November 20.
