“A lorry tried to make a delivery when the kids were coming out and tried to squeeze himself in and expected the kids to get out the way.”

The vehicles are said to be a frequent presence in front of Neilston Primary as hundreds of pupils pour in and out of the school gates.

Residents say the problem has been worse since work to build a new learning campus that will bring Neilston Primary, St Thomas’ Primary and the Madras Family Centre together on a shared site began a few months ago. “It doesn’t seem a good mix for them to be doing that when all the kids are coming out of school,” he added.
