Liam Turner was handed a community order after attacking his mum
A bullying son attacked his mum before harassing her to try and get her to retract a statement to police. Liam Turner asked his mother Lesley for money before starting a new job.
Turner was arrested and bailed, with conditions not to contact his mum. But between June 28 and November 2 last year, he harassed her. In a statement read to the court, Ms Turner said: "I'm completely drained and exhausted and I feel like I have nothing left. I feel like I don't know him anymore. It's difficult for me to go against my son, but this is impacting all factors of my life. My home isn't a safe place anymore because of him."
Mr Beevers conceded there was some 'deflection' as Turner, at times, had blamed his mum for his behaviour, but said the trained chef was 'bright and well educated'.
