Educators from across New York State provided their experiences with sweltering classroom temperatures with NYSUT for its "Overheated: Excessive Classroom Heat" report. “It was 87 degrees in my classroom today. I should not have to say any more than that. It is torturous and inhumane to expect children and humans to function in a room of that temperature. Please do something.”

New York State United Teachers , the state's teachers' union, recently put out a report called "Overheated: Excessive Classroom Heat," which includes these testimonies as well as research on how hot classroom temperatures
