Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan’s relationship gets a new look.
Summary Star Wars is finally delivering the relationship between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn that many have wished to see for 25 years. Given that Liam Neeson's Qui-Gon Jinn was killed off in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, the relationship between him and his Padawan, Obi-Wan, has been severely underutilized. Many thought this would change in Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2, but the series has not been confirmed as an upcoming Star Wars TV show.
Related Upcoming Star Wars Shows: Story, Casts & Everything We Know Several exciting Star Wars TV shows are set to be released on Disney+ in the coming years from the realm of both live-action and animation. The book in question is titled Star Wars: The Living Force, with Entertainment Weekly releasing an excerpt from the story. The excerpt details Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon traveling on a public cruiser, only to encounter a group of pirates wishing to hijack the vehicle for their own gain.
This proves the level of trust that exists between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, something that will only benefit their connection upon rewatches of The Phantom Menace. As it turns out, Star Wars: The Living Force is set to have many connections like this, as the book will feature the core members of the Jedi Council venturing to a distant planet for a combined adventure before the events of the prequels.
