A special Harry Potter-themed celebration yesterday transformed a hospital into the wizardingGlasgow Children's Hospital charity brought the wizarding world to the Medicinema at the Royal Hospital for Children for a jam-packed day of magical fun.Charity volunteers teamed up with the hospital’s dedicated Play Team to treat little witches and wizards to the full Potter experience.
They were then taken to ‘Platform 9 ¾’ and transported into the realm of magic upon casting a spell at the door – but not before taking something from the trolley from which Ron Weasley famously demanded: “We’ll take the lot”. Kirsten Watson, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity CEO, said: “We’ve been organising events in hospital, such as the Harry Potter celebration, for 20 years now. “These play events help to distract children from the stress of long stays on the ward, and create magical memories for their parents too.
