Andy Whyment said 'it's been great'
Coronation Street fans have said 'it won't be the same' after Kirk Sutherland actor Andy Whyment said an emotional goodbye on social media. Andy, 43, has played the factory packer and delivery driver on the long-running ITV soap since 2000. During that time his character has been at the centre of some of the show's most dramatic storylines.
Beth lied and told Kirk she has a new job in Norwich, and when Kirk said he would relocate with her, Bethan turned him down, telling him he belongs on Coronation Street with his family and friends. Having played on-screen partners for more than a decade, Andy was understandably emotional as Beth star Lisa George said her goodbyes.
