Coronation Street’s Hope has played a part in several big storylines over the years - and now it appears the soap has lined up yet another controversial plot twist
Coronation Street has appeared to confirm a controversial new storyline for Hope Dobbs. Hope, portrayed by Isabella Flanagan, appeared on the soap in 2010 as a premature baby, born three months early after her mum Fiz was involved in a horrific tram crash. Thankfully, both Fiz and Hope survived. Her first year was marked by tragedy when her biological father John Stape died before she turned one. She has since been brought up by her mum and stepfather Tyrone Dobbs .
What’s more, spoilers for next week reveal that Hope lands herself in even more trouble, as her secret vaping habit is exposed. After Cassie finds a vape in Hope's school bag, she confronts her granddaughter and Hope swears her to secrecy. However, wanting to be trusted from now on, Cassie tells Tyrone and Fiz about it and they too confront Hope and order her to stop using vapes. Hope says she will, but she later steals more vapes from Dev's shop before Aadi realises what she's done.
