He sadly lost his father late last year
Stephen Mulhern returns to host Dancing on Ice for a second year in a row alongside Holly Willoughby - after taking over from Philip Schofield in 2024.
Weeks after his dad's death, Stephen was rushed to hospital after falling ill during a meal at a Pizza Express restaurant. The Mirror reported that the star was experiencing a reaction to some medication he was administered that day. However, Stephen ended the year as he performed at the Royal Variety show in front of King Charles. Following the show, he shared an emotional tribute to his late father, saying: “That was for you dad."
Stephen's natural charm and comedic timing that have cemented his status as a beloved figure in UK entertainment, leading to his prominent role as the presenter of ITV's Deal Or No Deal, Saturday Night Takeaway, and more recently, co-hosting Dancing on Ice with Holly once again. He had previously been linked with This Morning's Josie Gibson, however she quashed the rumours, telling OK! Magazine: "Stephen? Oh, he’s so lovely. We are really good friends, I really adore him, but there’s no romance in the air. But he’s so nice. Every bloke that I come in contact with, the press seems to think that I’m having it off with them. People must think I’m a right goer. I’m not like that.
