Emmerdale will be affected by an ITV schedule change
The ITV soap, alongside Coronation Street, is set to see a schedule shake-up in the coming weeks due to sports coverage. Emmerdale usually airs at 7.30pm for an half an hour episode each evening, with an hour long episode on Thursday nights, whilst Coronation Street usually airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm for an hour.
On Friday, Emmerdale and Coronation Street will not air as ITV will be covering the Rugby World Cup game between France and New Zealand live. Whilst the soaps will be on different times that week, viewers will still be treated to all the soaps they're used to. In a statement released earlier this week, she said: "I've had a wonderful time at Emmerdale and feel very lucky to have spent the last five years working alongside such a hardworking and talented team. I’m extremely proud of what we‘ve achieved both on and off screen, especially during the pandemic when we all pulled together to make sure we never went off air.
