Viewers have been warned the episode contains scenes that some viewers may find upsetting
ITV issued a warning to viewers about the potentially upsetting content of tonight's trip to Emmerdale as the first episode of the 50th anniversary drama kicks off.
We know there will be a huge storm seen hitting the village which will change the lives of many characters. We may even end up saying an emotional goodbye to some Emmerdale’s legends. As part of the stunt, viewers will also see a stampede of cows.Ian Bevitt, who directed Sunday and Monday's episodes, revealed: “The major challenge was shooting a storm in daylight in the summer. We had to use wind machines, debris and clever camera angles to suggest the increasing, encroaching storm.
