The rescue show is in pre-production and bosses are considering dog lovers Ricky Gervais, Amanda Holden or Martin Clunes
Paul O'Grady's hugely popular series For The Love Of Dogs is set to make a comeback with three A-listers in the running to host the show.
A source said: “It’s a heart-warming series which raised the profile of the charity and ITV plans to continue making it in Paul’s memory.” Amanda, 52, was reported to be the frontrunner earlier this year. "Seeing how loved Paul was by so many has been truly touching,” Paul's widower, Andre Portasio, said. “Paul was so passionate in his support of rescue animals, and it gives me some comfort to know that through the hard work and commitment of Battersea and other charities Paul’s legacy will live on.”
