J Lo isn’t the first high-profile bride to opt for pre-loved on their wedding day. Whenborrowed a ’60s Norman Hartnell gown from her grandmother, the Queen, to marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020, searches for vintage wedding dresses shot up on Lyst by 297 per cent in the 48 hours after the wedding.
Of course, a second-hand or vintage dress isn’t just a more sustainable choice – the history behind the dress makes it extra special. Given the enormous influence that J Lo has, expect to see more brides following suit and going pre-loved, too.
