Jacinta Allan again resists calls to release Ken Lay 's report into Melbourne CBD safe injecting room after new details emerged
Nine News reported on Monday night that Mr Lay had listed three CBD locations where drug use was most prevalent, including around the famed Queen Victoria Market. But a defiant Ms Allan said the government still needed more time to consider the report, and was adamant it could not be released until the government also finalises its response to the contents in"due course".
"But in terms of what may or may not be in the report, I'm simply not going to be drawn on that today.A statement issued by shadow mental health minister Emma Kealy on Tuesday about the CBD injecting room report said:"The Allan Labor government must today release in full Ken Lay's report into a second injecting room in Melbourne's CBD".
