Leeds United winger Jack Harrison will return to the club and Daniel Farke must make a decision on his future
He was the last person to score in the Premier League for Leeds United, but Jack Harrison 's future at the club is shrouded in mystery this summer.
Much could depend on who else leaves the club, of course, with Harrison able to step into any hole left should Crysencio Summerville leave Elland Road in the coming months. At 27, Harrison is hitting his peak years, so it feels like it's either time to use him or move him on. Here's what our writers feel should happen with the midfielder this summer.
I think there's a real chance Harrison stays at Leeds this summer and given the expected departure of Crysencio Summerville and the uncertainty around Wilfried Gnonto, Leeds would struggle to pick up anyone of Harrison's quality within their budget. If he's fit, he should tear up the Championship next season and have a similar impact to Summerville, such is his quality.
Like Summerville and Rutter last season, his value will only increase with a strong season helping Leeds in their promotion bid. He's a class above much of the division, but the key will be persuading him to stay. He will have options in the top flight, and you can understand the allure of a permanent move to a Premier League club. At 27, he may feel as if he can't afford a season in the second tier.
Harrison was directly involved in just six goals at Everton last season after being sidelined with a hip injury - half as many as he managed when Leeds were relegated from the top-flight in 2023 - but there is an understandable school of thought that the 27-year-old could tear it up in the Championship and effectively be a readymade replacement if Leeds were to lose Wilfried Gnonto this summer.
