Jack Whitehall is on a mission to make it back to the UK in TV special Jack in Time For Christmas, but the journey is far from easy and at times very dangerous – as he revealed
In the part-scripted special Jack in Time for Christmas , Jack Whitehall 's epic journey to get home for Christmas is nothing short of an adventure. Stranded in the USA and with only four days to make it back to his family in the UK, he calls on celebrity pals like Michael Buble ́ and Daisy May Cooper to help him.
"I nearly killed myself going down a mountain in a bobsleigh," confesses Jack. "It was one of those rare occasions where it was considerably worse and scarier than I thought it would be. Then, we got to the bottom of it, and they went, ‘We’ve got two more runs now, we can get some extra shots,’ and I said, ‘Absolutely no way.’ So, I’m afraid I went out after a single go. That’s me retired now, off the bucket list, and never to be seen in a bobsleigh again.
Jack shares a hilarious recount of filming with Daisy May Cooper in London, revealing, "We shot that on Regent Street on a low loader during the Christmas period, which was not something I would wish upon anyone," He compares the experience to being a spectacle, saying, "Driving along the streets, I felt like King Kong in the cage when he's going through Manhattan. There were a lot of camera phones and people shouting things at us, that was a strange experience.
