Jadon Sancho has explained his decision to leave Manchester United for fellow Premier League club Chelsea on deadline day.
Jadon Sancho joined Chelsea from Manchester United Sancho completed a last-gasp move away from Old Trafford in the very final stages of the summer transfer window, joining Chelsea on a season-long loan. The loan move includes an obligation to buy at between £20-25m next summer, depending on his performance in west London. Sancho said: ‘I’m really excited to be here. London is where I grew up and I’m happy to be back. ‘It’s been a bit crazy.
Sancho underwhelmed at Old Trafford His third was even worse, a public spat with Erik ten Hag costing him his place in the squad and then causing him to be sent back to Borussia Dortmund on loan. After appearing to rediscover his form at Dortmund – and playing in last season’s Champions League final – there was hope that Sancho would revive his United career, especially after Ten Hag welcomed him back into his squad during pre-season.
