Having first found success with more comedy-driven roles in the likes of The Office season 9 and HBO's Girls, Lacy has recently found acclaim in more dramatic affair, including the true-story-based thriller A Friend of the Family, the sci-fi horror movie Significant Other and William Friedkin's adaptation of The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial.

I'm excited to chat about this show, it is, from what I've seen so far, fantastic. Conor, I'll start with you. This is one of your really first big projects.
Jake Lacy: I just think it comes down to the writing. The writing is wonderful, it's a character that's nuanced and layered, and has a clear past, and a clear perspective on that past, and that story may not be objectively accurate. It's a story they've told themselves, and I think over the journey of the show, you see Troy come to grips with elements of this story he's told himself that are true, but there's new information that colors that in a whole other way.
