James Brolin has heard many times that the internet says Christian Bale is his doppelganger, but he doesn't get it.
, Brolin was asked by a fan who called into the show about the internet's opinion that Bale looks like him, even more than his own son, actoractor said he hadn't officially met Bale, but he had run into guys he thought looked like they could be his brother.
Speaking of family, Brolin said that his dad told him there was "a 10,000 to 1 chance against you being successful" when he decided to go into acting. He had overcome his painful shyness in childhood — "I couldn't even give a book report" — but someone spotted him in his hometown of Los Angeles, and put him in a commercial. Brolin said he was under contract with Fox by the time he was 19, so he was set on what he wanted to do.
