SCOTTISH star James McAvoy is set to make his directorial debut on a movie about the true story of two Scottish rappers from Dundee.
Gavin Bain and Billy Boyd - fed up of London record producers not taking Scottish rap seriously and dismissing them as"rapping Proclaimers" - tricked the international music industry in the early 2000s by adopting American accents and reinventing themselves as Californian rap duo, Silibil N’ Brains.
“The film will first and foremost be a celebration of the Scottish spirit, but the ‘Silibil N’ Brains’ duo’s audacious fakery can’t help but appeal to audiences worldwide.” Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
