Tavernier again let Maeda have a big impact as Sportscene pundits pick apart defensive display
Philippe Clement has to consider dropping James Tavernier against Celtic or change his role as it keeps costing Rangers.
It could and should have been a wider margin of victory for the champions as they blew their rivals away yet again despite a strong start from the visitors. Sportscene pundit Mark Wilson has urged Clement to address the situation with Tavernier continually failing to prevent Maeda punishing him, and that simply sticking with the same plan and hoping it eventually pays off is doing the team or the player no good.
"His positional play - we've not shown in there - but over the top or through between him and Souttar, there's too much space and Maeda has a field day. It just yields the same result and it's up the manager to withdraw him from that situation and play a different style, or you get the same results."
