Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has explained what he found amusing about a recent comment by a Manchester United player. The Reds were held to a 2-2 draw with their bitter rivals at Anfield earlier this month. Goals from Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo were not enough to secure a victory earlier this month. Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo were on the score sheet for the visitors as Liverpool dropped two points in their quest to win the Premier League title.
'It certainly doesn't help you confidence-wise going forward, or maybe belief-wise,' Carragher told Sky Sports when asked about Amorim's comments. 'I've not got much sympathy for the players in that Manchester United dressing room, they have been a joke for a few years now. 'A few weeks ago, after they played Liverpool , there was an interview with Lisandro Martinez where he was talking about the mentality - and tapping his head - that was different.
