Jamie Carragher has been slammed for a joke he made about Tottenham’s Cristian Romero during the club’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.
And when Phil Foden beat Romero in a 50-50 challenge in the build-up to City’s opening goal, Carragher made a bold joke at the Argentine’s expense.
One fan added: “Sky Sports what did Carragher just say about Romero and Arsenal after his poor tackle…and then tried to talk around it…he’s disgusting!!” Pep Guardiola’s men now sit two points clear of Arsenal at the Premier League summit, with a game against West Ham on the final day standing between them and a fourth successive title. Arsenal, meanwhile, take on Everton.
Ange Postecoglou was involved in an incident with a Spurs supporter who allegedly insisted his side should throw the game against City.
