After sharing news that he has been diagnosed with cancer, Heart Radio host Jamie Theakston has revealed who will be replacing him on the show as he focuses on his recovery
Jamie Theakston has announced that he's been diagnosed with cancer and will be taking a break from hosting his Heart Radio show. While sharing his health news, the radio star confirmed who would be stepping into his shoes temporarily to host the show alongside Amanda Holden . On Tuesday, 17 September Jamie, 53, shared the news in an emotional statement that he had been diagnosed with stage 1 laryngeal cancer following an operation on his vocal cords.
"So I have cancer but cancer doesn't have me! The prognosis is very positive and I'm hoping to be back with you in October. Until then, I've been told to give my voice a rest and leave you in the mostly capable hands of JK and Amanda." "Be thankful for this day, and when I see you next, I'll have a great story to tell..." He signed off the message simply: "Jamie x."
