Jamison Battle will play in the NBA's Summer League with the Toronto Raptors this July.
The Toronto Raptors scooped up the former Ohio State forward with a Summer League deal, giving him a shot to prove his mettle with the squad this July.Following two years at George Washington and two at Minnesota, Battle transferred to Ohio State for his final season of college basketball and experienced one of the best 3-point shooting seasons in team history.
Battle posted the fifth-best shooting percentage from behind the arc in Ohio State history at 43.3%, which ranked third in the Big Ten among shooters who attempted at least four triples per game in 2023-24. He made 91 threes in total, sixth-most in school history and third-most by a player not named Jon Diebler in a single season at Ohio State.
A well-rounded scorer on the whole, Battle collected 15.3 points per game while shooting 51.2% from 2-point range and 92.6% at the free-throw line, an Ohio State record. He pulled in 5.2 rebounds per contest, second-most on the Buckeyes last season. For his five-year college career, Battle shot 36.9% from outside and recorded 14.6 points per game, amassing a total of 2,016 points in his five seasons of college basketball.
Battle will now hope to make the Raptors' roster or perhaps land with a G-League affiliate this winter. Summer League play starts for Toronto on July 7.Former Ohio State Running Backs Coach Tony Alford Says He’s In a “Good Place” at Michigan: “I'm As Happy As I've Been in a Long Time”
