The 63-year-old comedian is receiving end of life care following a brave battle with cancer. Janey was recently left in stitches after a call from Sir Billy, 81, whose "offensive" humour and "disgusting swearing" put a smile on her face.
She posted on X: "A Florida phone call from an old Glasgow pal can fair cheer me up. Same old darkest, offensive, humour and plethora of disgusting swearing as always!READ MORE: Man charged after fatal Clarkston Toll road crash leaves elderly pedestrian dead "Laughter abound! What a smile though - what a man - may comedy always be as offensively funny now and forever."
Janey is known for her witty humour, standing up for the rights of others and her voiceovers of politicians, which went viral during lockdown. But away from comedy she has recently had to share the sad news that she is having palliative care and would go into a hospice after "the chemo ran out of options" with the cancer now spreading.
The Glasgow comedian cancelled her Why Is She Still Here? tour last month after confirming her cancer has spread having been advised by doctors not to work again. Having been presented with the inaugural Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award last year, she said that comedy helps her deal with her diagnosis sharing with us last year in an interview that "comedy has definitely helped me deal" with cancer.
