The iconic Glasgow comedian passed away at around 7am this morning at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow surrounded by her family and friends.
Ashley Storrie has paid a heartfelt tribute to her mum Janey Godley after her death was announced this morning.
The 63-year-old had battled ovarian cancer since 2021 before the devastating discovery that the disease had spread throughout her body - Janey was then admitted to hospice as she faced end of life care.READ MORE: Tragic Bellshill crash leaves woman, 41, dead after being hit by car She said: "My mum Janey Godley died this morning about 7 o'clock. She was with friends and family, and I wanted to tell you face-to-face because it felt very much what she would have wanted.
