Jay Slater 's heartbroken mother has fiercely refuted claims that her son was involved in the theft of a costly timepiece just hours before he vanished.
Subsequent to his passing, there were whispers that the teen might have pinched a £12,000 Rolex watch from a patron at Papagayo before exiting the establishment. Now, his mother Debbie Duncan has publicly dismissed the online speculation.Speaking to The Sun, the 56 year old declared: "He would never have been involved in anything like that. He had only been in Tenerife three days and was at a festival with friends which had wristbands, security and an itinerary.
A post-mortem examination revealed that his death was immediate, with injuries indicative of a fall in the perilous Masca village - Spanish authorities believe he may have tumbled from a height in the challenging landscape he was navigating.
