A GoFundMe has been the centre of controversy on social media, with people questioning what the money would be used for.
The mum of missing Brit Jay Slater has issued an update on GoFundMe following much speculation around the fundraiser that has received more than £32,000 in donations.
The teenager reportedly walked off alone into a mountainous area in the Rural de Teno Park, close to the village of Masca, after leaving an Airbnb rental apartment where he had stayed with two people he met at the NRG music festival.
