EXCLUSIVE: Speaking to the Manchester Evening News' reporter on the ground, Helena Vesty, emergency searchers had reservations over whether tomorrow's 'massive search' will provide any clues on the whereabouts of the missing teenager
Emergency services have shared their reservations ahead of tomorrow’s mass search for missing teenager, Jay Slater. When asked by the Manchester Evening News about whether tomorrow’s ‘massive search’ could bring renewed hopes or progress, emergency rescuers said ‘maybe, maybe not… we just don’t know’.
READ MORE: Jay Slater missing in Tenerife LIVE: Latest updates from search after police give tragic update Enrique added that the search has not stopped during the evening, as the Civil Guard has been spending nights searching in villages where there is better light and less dangerous surroundings in comparison to the ‘treacherous’ ravines around where Jay was last seen and tracked.
Police this week confirmed the Civil Guard are looking to the north of the Masca Gorge. Three separate ravines – including one where it is believed the 19-year-old's phone last 'pinged' shortly after he disappeared are also being searched. The area where his phone was last tracked was in the Rural de Teno Park - an area popular with hikers, near the village of Masca.
