A resident from the village of Masca where Jay Slater was partying the night before he went missing has described the two men he was with at the time
A Tenerife local has described the two men Jay Slater was with before he vanished on Monday. The 19-year-old went missing after he went off with two other British men whilst he was out with friends on the island, where he'd been attending a three-day music festival.
Now, light has been shed on the two men he was with on Sunday night as pictures emerge of the rental property, Casa Abuela Tina, where he had reportedly been. A woman named only as Araceli, who works in the business adjoining the rental property, said: “I never saw the missing boy, but I know people saw him walking on his own. I saw the two British men who stayed here.
“They arrived on Saturday and we’re due to stay until Monday, but they left on Tuesday.” Asked if they had to stay to be interviewed by police, she said: “I don’t know”. Jay posted a photo of himself holding a cigarette on its steps shortly before going missing. Friend Lucy Mae Law raised the alarm after receiving a call from Jay, an apprentice bricklayer from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, at around 8am on Monday to say he was walking back to their accommodation in the south of the island, and that he was thirsty and only had 1% battery.
