Todt, who served as Ferrari team principal during five of Schumacher's record-breaking seven world championship victories, has disclosed that he maintains regular contact with his former driver and visits him frequently as a friend. \ 'The family has decided not to answer the question (on his condition),' Todt stated to La Repubblica. 'A choice that I respect.' \ Todt emphasized the strength of their connection, extending beyond their professional relationship. 'I see him regularly and with affection, him and his family. Our bond goes beyond the past work. It is part of my life, which today is very far from Formula 1.' Schumacher's remarkable career flourished under Todt's guidance at Ferrari, establishing him as an undisputed F1 icon. However, since the 2013 accident, he has not been seen in public. Rumors surfaced last year suggesting Schumacher attended his daughter Gina's wedding, held at the family's opulent villa in Majorca. Reports claimed he was present to witness the ceremony, with guests reportedly instructed to surrender their phones to prevent any photos of the former champion from being leaked. \However, Schumacher's close friend Johnny Herbert, a fellow F1 racer from 1989 to 2000, swiftly dismissed these reports as 'fake news.' Herbert clarified in November: 'It will always be a closed shop. The most recent rumour was he attended his daughter’s wedding. Unfortunately, from what I understand that was all A1 fake news and no truth in it.'
