The Perth side cruised beyond the League Two outfit on what turned into an unforgettable afternoon

Pride of Perth Jeanfield Swifts annihilated League Two Elgin City 6-0 on Saturday afternoon to cruise through to the third round of the Scottish Cup.

Swifts stunned Elgin in front of a bumper Fair City crowd, with Dayle Robertson and Chris McLeish netting first-half doubles for an incredible four-goal advantage at the break. The visitors simply had no answer and Chris Scott continued the scoring in the second half - claiming a double of his own - to make this an extra special cup experience.

Fellow Perthshire side Luncarty were also meant to be in second round action on Saturday but their home game against Bo’ness United was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
