Jenna Ortega wore a vintage Vivienne Westwood dress from spring/summer 2009 for the Mexico stop of the ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ press tour.
Following her breakthrough role in Netflix’s Wednesday, Jenna Ortega has undoubtedly become one to watch on the red carpet, thanks to the Thom Browne Victoriana look she wore to the 2023 Met Gala and the ’90s Versace leather dress she opted for at last year’s SAG Awards. Now, the actor is back with a new film to promote, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, in which she stars as another goth girl: Astrid Deetz.
For the Mexico stop of the press tour, Ortega sported a nude tulle gown from Vivienne Westwood’s spring/summer 2009 collection, embellished with black Latex detailing over the top. The choice of vintage Westwood was appropriate for the rising star: as British Vogue’s Daniel Rodgers notes, it’s a “rite of passage” for those who are cementing their status among the great and good of Hollywood.
