Jenna Ortega has revealed that she rejected Netflix ‘a couple of times’ when they first came to her with the offer of playing Wednesday Addams.
Wednesday, which saw its titular character enrol at Nevermore Academy, followed the Addams’ daughter as she attempted to solve a string of killings at the school.
Now it’s emerged that Ortega almost didn’t appear in the role, with the Scream star apparently turning down the role not once but twice.Ortega’s performance was acclaimed by critics and fans , she continued: ‘I had done so much TV in my life [for Disney], but all I’ve ever wanted to do is film.’ She then made her name on Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle, which ran for three seasons and aired 57 episodes between 2016 and 2018.supports HTML5 video
