Jennie McAlpine has spilled the secret of how she managed to hide her pregnancy from viewers, while filming scenes for Coronation Street.
Doting husband Tyrone urged Fiz to take the promotion before she accepted Stephen’s offer and packed her bags. “But they’ve been so good about me going off again because I know it’s hard work for the writers thinking of storylines to explain my absence. I am coming back, though! I was 17 when I started on Corrie and when I go back after maternity leave, I’ll be 40. I’ve been in it longer than I haven’t. But I never take it for granted.”
Being a diehard Corrie fan, Jennie is keeping up to date with all the goings on in Weatherfield while she’s away. She also admitted that she discovered Classic Coronation Street on ITVX and she’s bingeing on it during the night feeds.
