Ryan Guzman got real about his mental health and revealed a past crisis during which he tried to commit suicide. 'About six and a half, seven years ago… I tried, to take my own life.'

'That moment itself, in addition to what happened to my brother tWitch, are probably the two biggest fundamental moments of my entire life and have allowed me to have a deeper sense of mercy and empathy towards every individual,' he explained. 'If you don't have the people that are conducive to a healthy lifestyle, you're keeping on to them because of loyalty, let them go.
'About six and a half, seven years ago… I tried, at one point in time, to take my own life,' the 9-1-1 star, 36, told PeopleGuzman was in the news last month when his ex-girlfriend Melanie Iglesias accused Lopez of asking him to pretend he was single when they were promoting their 2015 film The Boy Next Door on the No Chaser podcast.
